Aspen Music Festival and School has appointed ALEX BROSE vice president of development, effective in June 2012. He goes to Aspen following eleven years at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he joined the staff as director of admissions and subsequently served as associate vice president for advancement. Proficient in Mandarin, Brose spearheaded the conservatory’s “sister school” relationship with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, resulting in increased exposure and new revenue streams. A vocalist by training, he has been a member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and has participated in regional opera theater productions throughout the Bay Area.
