RACHEL SEPULVEDA has been named director of marketing and development at Chicago Chamber Musicians, effective August 3. She is a 2009 graduate of the Orchestra Management Fellowship Program administered by the League of American Orchestras, where she held assignments at Aspen Music Festival and School and with the San Francisco, South Dakota, and Milwaukee symphonies. Prior to beginning her fellowship year in June 2008 Sepulveda served as production manager at The Cleveland Orchestra, and had previously held an internship at that orchestra while working part-time at Apollo’s Fire, the city’s Baroque orchestra. She has also held posts as operations manager at the Phoenix Symphony and as director of a world-music festival at a multi-disciplinary arts center. Sepulveda holds a master’s degree in double-bass performance from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s in that discipline from Oberlin Conservatory.
