The Evansville (Ind.) Philharmonic Orchestra has named SUMMER BENNETT director of education and community programs. A professional vocalist, she has appeared in recital and operatic productions both nationally and in her native Evansville, and has served on the faculty of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and at New York’s Amadeus Music Academy. Bennett has also worked as music programmer for a digital jukebox company and held administrative posts at companies in such fields as graphic design and the production of user manuals. She received her training at Butler University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, and is currently completing a Master of Philosophy in Music from Australia’s University of Newcastle.
