Several appointments have been announced by Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society. IRA PEDLIKIN joined the organization on August 3 as director of artistic planning, coming to Boston from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, where for three years he was artist coordinator for Symphony Center Presents. He had earlier served as associate manager for attractions and associate in program and travel at International Creative Management in New York. A former bassoonist, Pedlikin is a Brown University graduate with a degree in Classics. MICHÈLE CAMPBELL has joined the Handel and Haydn Society as senior marketing communications manager. Experienced in both for-profit and nonprofit marketing, Campbell has worked for such organizations as Elderhostel, Broadway in Boston, and Berklee College of Music. She plays cello in the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. RACHEL PEPPERMAN TAYLOR has been named marketing assistant. Taylor is a recent graduate of Skidmore College, where she majored in theater with a minor in business and managed the college’s Theater Department during her senior year; for two summers she interned with the Huntington Theatre in Boston. AMELIA BEARD has joined Handel and Haydn as institutional giving associate. She served most recently as a grant writer for Signature Theatre in Baltimore, and had earlier worked for Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C.
