Two administrative appointments have been announced by Florida’s Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra: LUKE WITCHGER, orchestra personnel manager, and AMANDA LIPSEY, director of grants and sponsorships.

Luke Witchger was formerly orchestra personnel manager at the North Carolina Symphony. A violinist by training, he has served as concertmaster of Orchestra Iowa, guest concertmaster of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and assistant concertmaster of the Rhode Island Philharmonic. From 2010 to 2012 Witchger attended Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, where he also worked as orchestra manager of the Vanderbilt University Orchestra. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School in 2015.

Amanda Lipsey has worked in the development field since 2006, and was most recently development director for the Adventure Cycling Association, a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting bicycle travel. Prior to that she worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where she began as senior grants writer and was subsequently promoted to government and foundation grants manager.
