RICHARD KESSLER has been appointed dean of Mannes College The New School of Music in New York City. He served most recently as executive director of The Center for Arts Education, an organization that works to improve arts and culture learning in New York City public schools. Kessler was previously executive director of the American Music Center. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from The Juilliard School.
