The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of DECLAN McGOVERN as vice president of orchestra operations and general manager, effective in September. His experience includes administrative posts at the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in Dublin, where he was general manager from 2012 to 2014, and the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he served as chief executive from 2010 to 2012. McGovern began his career as a producer and editor for Classic FM in London and the BBC in Belfast and London.
