Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School has announced the appointment of WAYNE WILKINS as director of marketing and communications, effective August 20. He succeeds PAM KENNEDY, who is retiring after many years in the post. For the past seven years Wilkins has served as head of marketing for the Continuing Education Division of Providence’s Rhode Island School of Design. He was previously a vice president of marketing and communications for VH1. Also an experienced vocalist, Wilkins has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Rhode Island Philharmonic as a member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and the Providence Singers.
