NOREEN MURDOCK has been promoted to executive director at the Salem Chamber Orchestra in northwest Oregon. She has been associated with the SCO since fall 2006, when she joined the staff as orchestra manager. The following season she served as general manager, and last fall was named managing director to succeed JAMES BOYD, who was recently selected by the League of American Orchestras for its 2009-10 Orchestra Management Fellowship Program. Murdock has also worked with the Grace Goudy Distinguished Artists Series at Willamette University. An accomplished pianist, she received her bachelor’s degree in music from Willamette, and is currently enrolled in an MBA program at that university’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
