The Little Orchestra Society in New York City has named MARY BETH CADMUS director of development and JOHN-MORGAN BUSH director of education. DAN LOBEL, a member of the orchestra’s staff since 2006, has been promoted to director of audience services/associate director of marketing. Cadmus, most recently director of individual giving at the New-York Historical Society, has held development posts at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and served as marketing associate for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/ArtPride NJ. She holds a master’s degree from Drexel University and a bachelor’s degree in art history/museum studies from Rutgers University, where she has also lectured on arts administration and is currently pursuing a doctorate in public administration. Bush, the orchestra’s new director of education, is a professionally trained French hornist. He holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kentucky in music education and performance and a master’s from Manhattan School of Music. He is the founder of Tuxedo Revolt, which seeks to redefine traditional notions of live classical music performance and audience engagement.
