The Erie Chamber Orchestra, based at Gannon University in Erie, Pa., has announced that MATTHEW KRAEMER will step down as music director at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season. Kraemer was named music director of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra last March, and is also music director of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra in Butler, Pa. Several music director candidates will guest conduct the Erie Chamber Orchestra in 2016-17, and the orchestra expects to announce Kraemer’s successor at season’s end.
