The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra in Indiana has appointed BRIAN ONDERDONK as assistant orchestra conductor and RYAN KNIGHT as assistant choral conductor.

Brian Onderdonk joined the Evansville Philharmonic in 2015, when he was named music director and conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Earlier this year, he was also named director of education and community programs. In addition to a wide range of orchestral guest-conducting appearances, Onderdonk was music director and principal conductor of Center Stage Opera, in California’s San Fernando Valley, for twelve years. He as an associate conductor at the Atlanta Opera, and led the orchestras for the Italian tenor trio Il Volo’s 2013 North American tour. Onderdonk received his DM degree at Indiana University.

Ryan Knight is director of vocal music and theater at the junior and senior high schools in Poseyville, Indiana, and also serves as a site coordinator for the Indiana Music Education Association. He has presented academic research as arts education conferences and workshops. Knight earned his bachelor of music in education and master of music education degrees from Murray State University in Kentucky.
