STUART MALINA, music director of the Harrisburg (Pa.) Symphony Orchestra since 2000, has signed a five-year contract renewal that extends his tenure through the 2019-20 season. Before coming to Harrisburg Malina served as music director of the Greensboro (N.C.) Symphony Orchestra. A native of the New York City area, he earned degrees at Harvard and Yale universities before pursuing conducting studies with Otto-Werner Mueller at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
