The North Carolina Symphony has announced the appointment of DAVID GLOVER as associate conductor. He goes to the orchestra following a two-year term as assistant conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. A semifinalist in the Bartok Opera Competition and a participant in the 2008 Cadaqués Orchestra International Conducting Competition (Barcelona), Glover has held posts as Ansbacher Fellow at the Salzburg Festival; conductor of the Indiana University All-Campus Orchestra; artistic director of Boston’s L’Orchestra da Camera, which he founded; and adjunct lecturer at Indiana University. Glover holds degrees in violin performance from the University of Georgia and Boston University, and a master’s degree in instrumental conducting from Indiana University.
