DAVID HATTNER has signed a contract renewing his tenure as conductor and music director of the Portland (Ore.) Youth Philharmonic through the 2011-12 season. The fifth music director in the PYP’s 85-year history, Hattner succeeded Mei-Ann Chen last fall and recently completed his first season with the orchestra.
