The Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra, a professional ensemble based at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, has appointed JED GAYLIN music director. Gaylin resides in Baltimore, where for the past seventeen years he has been music director of the Johns Hopkins Symphony Orchestra. He is also music director of the Bay Atlantic Symphony (Bridgeton, N.J.), principal conductor of the Cape May (N.J.) Music Festival, and principal guest conductor of the Beijing-based National Radio and Film Philharmonic. Gaylin holds a bachelor’s degree in piano and a master’s in conducting from Oberlin Conservatory, and a doctoral degree in conducting from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.
