The Board of Directors of South Carolina’s Charleston Symphony Orchestra has elected CINDY HARTLEY president. A CSO board member since September 2012, Hartley is a former executive of Sonoco Products Company, where she retired as senior vice president of human resources in 2011. She is currently a director for South Carolina Bank and Trust; vice-chair of the Board of Trustees at Coker College (Hartsville, S.C.); and a board member of the Preservation Society of Charleston. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
