BARRY H. BERACHA has been elected to a two-year term as chairman of the St. Louis Symphony’s Board of Trustees, where he succeeds NED O. LEMKEMEIER. A board member of the orchestra since 2005, Beracha is a former executive vice-president and CEO of Sara Lee Corporation, from which he retired in 2003. He also serves on the boards of Hertz Corporation, St. Louis University, and Colorado’s Bravo! Vail music festival. Beracha holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Pratt Institute and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
