ALAN McINTYRE has been named chairman of the Stamford (Conn.) Symphony Board of Directors. He has served on the orchestra’s board since 2010, most recently as vice chairman for a two-year term. A resident of Darien, Conn., McIntyre is a senior partner in the retail and business banking practice of Oliver Wyman, and was formerly a managing partner for North America and group COO in the firm. He has led much of Oliver Wyman’s pro bono work in the arts, and is a board member of the League of American Orchestras. McIntyre holds an MBA from IMD Business School (Lausanne, Switzerland), an M.Phil in finance from Cambridge University, and a master’s degree in economics and philosophy from Glasgow University in his native Scotland.
