The Colburn School has announced the appointment of WENDY KELMAN as chairman of the Board of Trustees. She has been a member of that board since 2006 and has chaired its development and presidential search committees. Among numerous other nonprofit affiliations, Kelman has served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is a current board member of the Volunteer Council of the League of American Orchestras. Trained as a psychiatric social worker, she has worked at McLean Hospital in Boston, and for fifteen years operated the cancer treatment facility Oncology Institutes in partnership with her husband, Dr. Asher Kelman.
