“People who couldn’t get tickets to LumenoCity, the light show set to symphonic music, will get a second chance,” writes Janelle Gelfand in Friday’s (7/11) Cincinnati Enquirer (Ohio). “The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra … will release an additional 3,300 tickets (total) for the three performances on Aug. 1-3, and another 5,000 tickets for the LumenoCity dress rehearsal on July 31.” Free tickets are being distributed at lumenocity2014.com from July 11 to 15. “Winners will be selected randomly … and then notified on July 21.… In light of earlier attempts to sell LumenoCity tickets on eBay, orchestra spokesman Chris Pinelo said that the accounting firm [Clark, Schaeffer, Hackett & Co.] will use software to check to ensure there are no duplicate entries…. Those who successfully ordered tickets on June 9 for LumenoCity 2014 received emails this week stating that they may print them out from their personal Ticketmaster accounts starting Thursday. About 25 percent of the tickets were provided for early ordering by subscribers and donors. Another 10 percent were allotted for community organizations and libraries.” The concerts are also being broadcast over radio station WGUC-FM (August 1), CET Channel 48 (August 2), on LED boards in Fountain Square and Riverbend Music Center (August 3), and at lumocity2014.com (all nights).
