Classical Movements will open its spring season with a pair of March 22 chamber-music concerts at the Rectory in Alexandria, Virginia dedicated to the people of Ukraine. Concerts at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. will feature four musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington National Opera, and Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra performing music by Ukrainian composers Myroslav Skoryk and Zino Bogachek (who is a violinist in the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and will perform in the concert) and Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders in support of their relief efforts in Ukraine. The concerts are part of the 14 programs to be presented by Classical Movements through June 2022.
