The Bay-Atlantic Symphony, based in southern New Jersey, is looking for temporary quarters after a recent fire at its Bridgeton office, but will continue its concert schedule and other activities without interruption. The fire broke out during the night of July 24 in the upper floor of the bank building at 59 East Commerce Street in Bridgeton, causing smoke damage. Executive Director Paul Herron said in a press release that he was “thankful that the situation was not a lot worse than it was,” and that the orchestra can still be contacted at 856-451-1169 or through its website. The orchestra’s next scheduled concert with Music Director Jed Gaylin takes place on August 4, when it will perform the fourth of five Sunday concerts this summer at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
