Carolyn Kuan, music director of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut, is one of ten women who were inducted into the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame on November 12. She and the other nine honorees were honored at a dinner held at the Connecticut Convention Center. In addition to Kuan, this year’s inductees include a professor at Yale, leaders in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and local business, as well as executives at community foundations and nonprofit service organizations. The Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame was established in 1993 to “to bring the national focus on remarkable women to a local level by showcasing Connecticut women’s contributions to history.”
