Herbert Barrett Management and Vantage Artists Management Inc. recently announced their merger, creating a new company named Barrett Vantage Artists. Longtime Herbert Barrett Management President John A. Anderson will lead the merged company with staff from both companies, including Emmy Tu (managing director), Mary Lynn Fixler (senior vice president), Alexandra Bacon (vice president), and Bonnie Barrett (vice president). The roster of Barrett Vantage Artists includes 68 vocalists and 45 instrumentalists, ensembles, and conductors. “I am pleased that the legacy of the late Herbert Barrett will now be carried forward in this new venture,” said President John A. Anderson. “We are looking forward to leveraging our collective strengths on behalf of our terrific artist roster,” said Managing Director Emmy Tu. “Vantage Artists has always explored new ways of reaching audiences with dynamic artists and creative approaches to doing business in a mature industry.” Herbert Barrett died in 2007; among the clients he represented during his long career were Sherrill Milnes, Eileen Farrell, and Ralph Kirkpatrick.
