In Friday’s (3/27) Violin Channel, an unbylined article states, “Georgia’s Savannah Philharmonic has announced that Jonathan Martin will serve as its new Interim CEO. He will cover the role for a period of interregnum following the departure of Amy Williams, who was recently appointed President and CEO of the Kalamazoo Symphony. Martin most recently served as President and CEO of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra between 2017 and 2025. During this period, he spearheaded a $100 million endowment campaign, as well as raising $160 million elsewhere to replace Riverbend Music Center with a new 20,000-seat outdoor venue. In addition, he presided over a global search for a new Music Director, which ultimately yielded the appointment of Cristian Mǎcelaru in 2024. Prior to Cincinnati, Martin spent five years as President & CEO of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra … He has also been General Manager of the Cleveland Orchestra, and he began his career with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where he held five roles over 14 years … A graduate of Georgia State University, Martin co-founded Equity Arc, helped create the orchestra licensing association Orchestra Music Licensing Organization, and is a member of the Recording Academy and the League of American Orchestras.”
