On Tuesday, April 8, violinist Joshua Bell will deliver a livestreamed TED Talk about the power of live orchestras in today’s tech-filled world. Featuring the debut performance of Bell’s new Chamber Orchestra of America, the ensemble he founded to help foster the next generation of professional musicians, Bell’s talk is part of TED2025, which runs April 7–11. With a theme of “Humanity Reimagined,” TED brings together more than 80 speakers and 1,800 attendees in Vancouver, Canada, to consider our role as humans in the age of AI. Bell’s fellow speakers during the TED2025 week include poet Salome Agbaroji, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, economist Roland Fryer, and cognitive scientist Steven Pinker. Bell’s TED Talk will be livestreamed on Tuesday, April 8, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time/8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Learn more about TED2025 at conferences.ted.com/ted2025.
