The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music is accepting applications through November 1 for its 2016 grant program, which supports performances of music by Kurt Weill and Marc Blitzstein. Grants also support individuals and nonprofits for scholarly research related to Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, and Marc Blitzstein, as well as to educational and scholarly initiatives by nonprofits. Funding will support performances and initiatives between January 1 2016 and July 1, 2017. Supported areas include professional performance, college/university performance, media, scholarly symposia/conferences, educational outreach, community engagement, Kurt Weill mentors, Kurt Weill Dissertation Fellowship, publication assistance, and research and travel.
