The Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild, a 300-member volunteer, fundraising, and support group affiliated with the orchestra, recently launched an instrument collection program to benefit school music programs in Las Vegas. The Guild is accepting donations of musical instruments in good condition to distribute to Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, a K-12 charter school in Las Vegas that has recently expanded its music program to include band and orchestra instruction but lacks instruments. Instrument donations are also being accepted for music programs at other charter schools, primarily in the Las Vegas valley.
