In Saturday’s (8/9) Fayetteville Observer (North Carolina), Beth Hutson writes, “The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra welcomed a new executive director in July and has announced that its longtime music director will leave after the 2025-26 season…. FSO said that Jessica Munch-Dittmar would take over from the previous executive director, Anna Meyer. Munch-Dittmar’s first day on the job was Aug. 4. On Aug. 5, FSO announced that Music Director Stefan Sanders will leave the nearly 70-year-old organization after the 2025-26 season. Munch-Dittmar has more than 17 years’ experience in arts administration, music education and nonprofit leadership … She’s a native of South Carolina and has a Bachelor of Arts in music education from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts in arts administration from Savannah College of Art and Design…. Her previous leadership roles include chief executive officer of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony; interim CEO of the Ukulele Kids Club; and director of education and community engagement with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Winston-Salem Symphony…. Stefan Sanders will step down as music director of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra after the 2025-26 season. Sanders, who joined FSO for his first full season in 2017, is leaving to take on more work as the Central Texas Philharmonic’s music director, a position he’s held since 2018 … His accomplishments with FSO include expanding the diversity of orchestral programming and placing a larger emphasis on collaboration and education throughout all ensembles.”
