Update: This webinar has been postponed. The League will refund anyone who has already paid for this event and will be in touch when a new date and time have been confirmed.
Technology has always shaped the art of music—from instruments to acoustics to recording to listening. How AI is Evolving the Creation and Performance of Music is the first of three League webinars focusing on artificial intelligence and how it will change orchestras. Might AI be the great democratizer, turning millions of music lovers into composers and performers? How are composers redefining how and what they make using AI? And how are the roles and careers of artists—and orchestras—going to change?
On Tuesday, October 22, the How AI is Evolving the Creation and Performance of Music webinar will continue the conversation begun at the “AI Disruption is Here” session at the League’s National Conference in Houston and will delve into practical and creative implications for composers, arrangers, and performers. The webinar will give artistic planners and programmers a sense of the AI-driven music revolution unfolding around us. The speakers are Clarice Assad, composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, and Douglas McLennan, editor of ArtsJournal.com.
How AI is Evolving the Creation and Performance of Music takes place on Tuesday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern and 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. If you can’t attend the webinar live, register to receive the recording. Questions? Contact League Member Services at member@americanorchestras.org. Learn more and register.
