Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, America’s longest-running festival of new orchestral music, celebrates rhythm and sound in its 62nd season, July 29-August 11, 2024. Led by Grammy Award-winning Conductor Cristian Măcelaru, the Festival Orchestra will be joined by violin soloists Philippe Quint, Leila Josefowicz, cellists Karen Ouzounian and Gabriel Cabezas, as well as soprano Miriam Khalil, for works by 15 featured composers. The season includes 4 world premiere commissions, including the inaugural Creative Lab with Bora Yoon performing in her piece, and eight West Coast premieres.
