From Mahler’s deeply personal Symphony No. 9 to the beauty of Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ and the raw energy of Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, the 2025-26 Louisville Orchestra season, under the leadership of Music Director Teddy Abrams, highlights orchestral music at its most profound and celebrates music’s power to inspire, challenge, and connect audiences. The new season, which begins in September, also includes … soloists Yuja Wang, Anne Akiko Meyers, Jonathan Biss, and Tessa Lark alongside composer Eric Whitacre and conductor Robert Spano … The 2025-26 season also brings to Louisville actor Morgan Freeman, Stewart Copeland, former band member of The Police, and musician Ben Folds, each of whom will take part in the Louisville Orchestra’s Pops Series…. ‘Clouds in My Coffee’ reimagines the music of Joni Mitchell, Carole King, and Carly Simon with lush orchestrations….
