Michael Reichman, recently appointed VP of Artistic Operations and General Manager at the Charlotte Symphony.

The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra named Michael Reichman as vice president of artistic operations and general manager, beginning January 9, 2023. Reichman goes to the North Carolina-based orchestra from Pennsylvania’s York Symphony Orchestra, where was executive director for seven years. In 2022, he served as general manager and second flutist for the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra’s transatlantic partnership with the Bayerische Philharmonie in Munich, Germany. In 2021, he was named one of Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 for his professional accomplishments, community service, and commitment to change. Since 2016, he has been a frequent guest instructor at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County music department. From 2012 to 2015, he was assistant conductor and general manager with Symphony Nova in Boston, MA. In 2013, he participated in the League of American OrchestrasEmerging Leaders Program. Reichman received a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Music in Conducting from New England Conservatory.
