A report in Tuesday’s (6/9) Milwaukee Business Journal states, “Harris Bank said it has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement that designates Harris as the ‘Official Bank of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts’ in downtown Milwaukee. Harris Bank’s Milwaukee headquarters is less than one block north of the arts center in the 1000 North Water Building. Chicago-based Harris recently completed remodeling for its new Wisconsin district office in the building. Financial details of the sponsorship, which was announced Tuesday, were not disclosed. Paul Mathews, who is the president and CEO of the Marcus Center, said the sponsorship ‘will significantly enhance our ability to maintain a high-quality, state of the art venue for all of our resident arts organizations and our patrons.’ ” Marcus Center’s main tenants include the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Florentine Opera Company and the Milwaukee Ballet.
