In Sunday’s (6/15) Columbus Dispatch (Ohio), Belinda M. Paschal writes, “New Albany Symphony Orchestra (NASO) will welcome its 2025-26 season with a program celebrating one of the most important conductors and composers in American music history. With vocals by Morgan James, ‘Bernstein in Story and Song’ will feature anecdotes from Jamie Bernstein in a tribute to her world-renowned father, Leonard Bernstein. Led by Maestro Luis Biava, the concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Hinson Amphitheater …  Gates will open for picnickers at 6:30 p.m…. The rest of the season, which will take place at the McCoy Center for the Arts, 100 E. Dublin Granville Road, New Albany, includes: ‘Carmina Burana,’ Oct. 12, for which NASO is joined by the symphony chorus, conducted by Michael G. Martin; ‘Holiday Spectacular,’ Dec. 21 …; ‘Triumph and Light, ’March 8,  for which highlights include performances by student concerto winners. The season will wind down with NASO’s annual Great Artist Gala, set for 7 April 24, 2026, at the McCoy Center. The gala’s guest artist will be Grammy-winning vocalist Renée Fleming performing an eclectic medley of arias by George Frideric Handel and Giacomo Puccini, music from ‘Carousel’ and ‘Lord of the Rings,’ contemporary hits and selections by film composer Ennio Morricone.”
