In Thursday’s (3/5) MLive.com (Michigan), an unbylined article states, “The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra has selected Amy Williams as its next president and CEO. Williams, who comes to Kalamazoo after six years as CEO of the Savannah Philharmonic in Georgia, will begin her appointment on May 26. She replaces Jessica Mallow Gulley, who departed in October 2025 to lead the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Orchestra manager Jonathan Martin has served as interim president and CEO during the transition…. At the Savannah Philharmonic, Williams expanded audience reach and more than doubled the operating budget. There, she developed ‘Phil the Neighborhoods,’ a pop-up concert series that brings musicians into communities throughout Savannah … In Kalamazoo, Williams will partner with music director Julian Kuerti … Williams served as managing director of Camerata Pacifica from 2018 to 2020. She also held senior positions with the Santa Barbara Symphony from 2011 to 2018 … From 2007 to 2011, she worked at the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra…. Williams holds a doctorate degree in musical arts from Ohio State University, a master’s in music from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a bachelor’s in music from Ithaca College.”
