Brent Hart, newly appointed executive director of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Brent Hart has been appointed executive director of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. He succeeds David Hyslop, who served as interim executive director since December 2022.  Hart previously served two terms as president of the orchestra’s board of directors and begins in his new role on March 13. Hart has been employed by Oklahoma City’s Gulfport Energy Corporation since 2016, where he was Learning and Development Manager. He previously worked as a corporate trainer for Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores. He volunteers at several local organizations, working closely with groups including Allied Arts, deadCenter Film Festival, OACF’s “Red Tie Night,” and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, among others. “We had an impressive list of applicants from across the country,” said Jerrod Shouse, OKCPHIL president-elect and chair of the Executive Director Search Committee. “Right now, it is a critically important time to have a leader who is engrained in our community.”
