Audience members and musicians at a Park Avenue Chamber Symphony concert.

In Tuesday’s (2/3) New York 1, Ayana Harry reports, “In most classical music performances, spectators sit in the audience while the musicians are up on a stage, or maybe down in a pit. But the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony runs a series of ‘Inside Out’ concerts, in which audience members are mixed right in with the orchestra. It’s designed to be an immersive experience that brings audiences into the music into unique ways, even with familiar pieces. Next weekend, the symphony is preparing for two performances designed to celebrate Mozart’s birthday.” In the video, Park Avenue Chamber Symphony Music Director David Bernard speaks with Ayana Harry about the Inside Out concert series.
