Michigan’s Marquette Symphony Orchestra.

In Sunday’s (8/31) TV 6 (Gwinn, Michigan), Dan Groeneveld reports, “People supported Marquette’s music scene while enjoying some tunes of their own on Sunday. The Up North Lodge hosted Party on the Patio and Bike Night in Gwinn. People gathered at the lodge to enjoy food and live music. A variety of bucket raffles and a 50/50 raffle were held to benefit the Marquette Symphony Orchestra. Marquette Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees Vice President Theresa Camilli says Sunday’s event will help make this year’s exciting itinerary possible. ‘The funds that we generate help for all of our operating costs for our guest artists for our musicians that come together to perform,’ Camilli said. ‘Our first concert’s on Oct. 4, we have a guest artist, Jeffrey Biegel, coming in to play Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.’ Camilli thanks the Up North Lodge for hosting Sunday’s fundraiser.” Octavio Más-Arocas is the orchestra’s music director and principal conductor.
