“Because of COVID-19, the Peoria Symphony Orchestra has canceled its two remaining performances for this year,” writes Phil Luciano in Thursday’s (6/4) Journal Star (Peoria, IL). “ ‘For nearly 123 years, the Peoria Symphony Orchestra has made it our mission to bring transformative musical performances to the stage and beyond,’ the PSO said in a statement. ‘We meet with our local community in concert halls, schools, senior living facilities, and more. However, our top priority is the health and safety of our community, patrons, musicians, and staff.’ The two shows had been postponed, to June 27 and Aug. 4.”
