Georgia’s Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra has named Philip Kim as executive director. Kim succeeded Executive Director Linda Brill in November. Kim has experience in nonprofit management, strategic communications, and arts leadership. He previously led marketing and communications for the Ohio State Bar Foundation, collaborating with executive leadership on strategic planning, storytelling, and public engagement. Kim has served as board chair for We Amplify Voices, Matter News, and the Hilltop Arts Collective, leading initiatives that integrate creativity, community, and social impact. Earlier in his career, he championed statewide arts advocacy with Ohio Citizens for the Arts. At the Johns Creek Symphony, Kim will focus on strengthening operations and a solid organizational foundation to ensure long-term sustainability and growth. The orchestra’s music director is Henry Cheng.
