The Phoenix Symphony.

In the May 6 PHX Reporter, a staff-written article states, “The Phoenix Symphony has initiated a significant fundraising effort named Crescendo: The Campaign for The Phoenix Symphony. This $60 million initiative aims to secure the future of symphonic music in Arizona as the organization approaches its 80th season. Peter Kjome, president and CEO of the Phoenix Symphony … noted that over $10 million has already been pledged, thanks to contributions from Jeanne Herberger and other supporters. The campaign allocates $40 million to enhance the symphony’s endowment through ‘Building a Lasting Legacy,’ which supports its artistic and educational mission. An additional $20 million is dedicated to ‘Strengthening and Expanding Our Programs,’ focusing on sustaining and growing programming, education, and community engagement. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego expressed her support: ‘The Phoenix Symphony has been a vital part of our city for nearly 80 years as a cornerstone of our community’s cultural and civic identity.’ She highlighted how the Crescendo campaign will contribute to a more connected future for Phoenix residents.”
