Austria’s Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award is accepting applications through October 31 for the fourth edition of its award for conductors, which comes with a 15,000-euro prize. The finalists, chosen by a jury headed by conductor Ingo Metzmacher, each will have the opportunity to conduct a public concert with either the Camerata Salzburg, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, or the Münchner Rundfunkorchester in May 2013. The winner will conductor the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra in a Salzburg Festival concert on August 27, 2013, which will also be recorded.
