In Tuesday’s (11/8) Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, California), Diane Peterson writes, “The Santa Rosa Symphony has hired Kathleen Morgen of Hidden Valley Lake in Lake County as its new director of development. Morgen has an extensive background in non-profit management and fundraising. For the past 10 years, she has served as owner/principal at Morgen Lloyd & Associates in Hidden Valley Lake, consulting statewide for arts, environmental, social and health organizations. Morgen has also served as director of development at New Connections, which provides counseling and recovery services; and executive director of A Traveling Jewish Theatre of San Francisco and the California Shakespeare Festival based in Berkeley. … Morgen’s experience includes capital, annual and major donor campaigns; institutional grant research and writing; grant management and reporting; board and volunteer training; and special events production. ‘She brings a wealth of fundraising experience and talents that will stand us in good stead as we enter the Green Music Center era as resident orchestra,’ said Alan Silow, executive director of the Santa Rosa Symphony.”
