
Sarah Perschbacher.
Sarah Perschbacher has been appointed Interim Executive Director of Indiana’s South Bend Symphony Orchestra. She has been the orchestra’s Director of Marketing since 2020, and succeeds Justus Zimmerman, who stepped down in December 2024 to become CEO and executive director of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. As the South Bend Symphony’s marketing director, she spearheaded campaigns and brand partnerships that positioned the orchestra as a leading cultural institution in the region. The symphony has experienced a 70% increase in attendance, significantly broadening its outreach and community engagement. Perschbacher is an alumna of Indiana University South Bend, holding a Master of Liberal Studies, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Sustainability Leadership, with a LEED Green Associate Certification in sustainable practices. She is a member of the League of American Orchestras’ Marketing Constituency Group, where she collaborates with peers to advance marketing strategies for orchestras nationwide. The South Bend Symphony is conducting a search for a permanent executive director.
