The piano maker Steinway & Sons announced that it has opened a Steinway Piano Gallery in Tysons Corner Center, in McLean, Virginia, making it the first dedicated Steinway dealership in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area. The center will offer all three Steinway lines: New York Steinway & Sons grand and upright pianos, the Steinway-designed Boston piano; and Steinway-designed Essex grand and upright pianos. The Steinway Piano Gallery will also rebuild and restore Steinway pianos. Principals of the new gallery are David Slan and Gerry Malzone, both associated with Steinway pianos for more than two decades.
