The League of American Orchestras has opened registration for its 2026 National Conference, June 1-3, 2026, in Baltimore, hosted by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The Conference theme this year is FLOW, inspired by Baltimore’s dramatic harbor location. Conference offers three days of learning, connection, and music, during which attendees will explore what it looks like to make audience development a true organizational mindset; how music education and community engagement create lasting public value; how to create equitable auditions, healthier workplaces, and stronger community partnerships; the ways that orchestras are securing transformational gifts and building financial strength; and how to harness AI responsibly while reducing real and growing cyber risks.
Conference sessions, workshops, and panel discussions will be complemented by live performances, including a concert from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra led by Music Director Jonathon Heyward, an appearance by the Baltimore Youth Symphony and OrchKids, and a preview of Lara Downes’s moving Declaration Project.
