The 2014 Take a Stand Symposium will explore the question, “How can we empower students to take control of their futures?” Together we will investigate how we can best draw forth and nurture student leadership and citizenship.
Attendees will learn from El Sistema programs around the world, engage in interactive classes, perform music with members of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, and experience the LA Phil’s Tchaikovsky Festival.
Registration will be open in October.
In the meantime: Propose a Session (or “class”) that will provide clear tools for teachers, students, and program leaders. Click here for the proposal form to offer your ideas by August 27. If accepted, you will be notified by September 25.
