The Vermont Symphony Orchestra recently launched its new website, designed by the Burlington-based web-design group Loud Canvas, which donated its services for the project. “Every year Loud Canvas chooses a nonprofit organization and donates website design for it,” said Rebecca Kopycinski, the VSO’s ensemble coordinator and marketing specialist. “One day I picked up the phone and someone said they wanted to develop a website free of charge for us. I thought I was dreaming,” she says. The site, which launched on May 14, was a gift to the VSO, which is currently in its 75th season. Features of the new site include blog and Facebook pages; updated features of the site include its schedule display; subscription and ticket-ordering features; concert photos; history, education, and support pages; and FAQ area.
